LiFePO4 lithium batteries are a very safe battery chemistry and to go along with all our protection systems in the BMS, Lithium Marine batteries are as safe as any battery.
Can I crank my outboard with Lithium Marine batteries?
When using our Dual Purpose 12V batteries you can safely crank any outboard. Lithium Marine batteries are cranking connected to most every brand outboard currently, starting them safely and reliably. (Check motor manufacture for details on warranties regarding using lithium to start your motor)
What does “Dual Purpose battery” mean?
Lithium Marine Dual Purpose batteries have the ability to crank your engine and have the same energy storage as deep cycle batteries. Meaning the can be used for cranking, house batteries, trolling motor batteries, or whatever you need your Lithium Marine battery for.
Can I put lithium batteries in series or parallel?
With Lithium Marine batteries you can put up to 4 batteries of the same voltage and amp hours in series or parallel.
Can I put lithium batteries in series or parallel with a lead or AGM battery?
Currently there is no Lithium Marine battery that you can put in series or parallel with a lead or AGM battery, but with Lithium Marine constantly looking at innovative ways to improve our batteries, hopefully this feature will be available soon.
How do I find the Lithium Marine app?
You can find the Lithium Marine app by using the QR code on the top of your battery. If there is no QR code search Lithium Marine on Android Play Store or LM Monitor on IOS (Apple) App Store.
Do all batteries have App connectivity?
Early model Dual Purpose batteries do not have app connectivity, but all generations deep cycle batteries do. Starting in April 2024, all batteries, including dual purpose, will have app connectivity.
